Overview

.

In today's interconnected world, communication design stands at the intersection of multiple
disciplines - where journalism meets technology, where cultural studies inform marketing,
where psychology shapes user experience, and where art blends with computer science. This
convergence has transformed how we communicate dramatically. From hand-drawn
illustrations to AI-generated designs, from printed newspapers to interactive news apps, from
traditional storytelling to immersive virtual experiences – communication design continues to
evolve through contributions from diverse fields of study and practice.
This evolution transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. Economists study how design
influences consumer behaviour, psychologists explore how visual elements impact human
perception, computer scientists develop new tools for creative expression, and cultural
scholars examine how design shapes social narratives. Language experts work alongside film
makers, marketing professionals collaborate with anthropologists, and journalists partner with
interaction designers – all contributing to how we share our stories, express our ideas, and
connect with each other across cultural and geographical boundaries.
Communication design now shapes everything from our daily social media interactions to
how we learn, work, and engage with global communities. As artificial intelligence suggests
content, virtual reality creates immersive experiences, and augmented reality blends digital
and physical worlds, we stand at a fascinating crossroads where multiple disciplines converge
to shape the future of human communication.
However, this rapid transformation brings important questions: How do we maintain
authentic human connections in an increasingly digital world? How can we ensure that our
design choices respect and celebrate cultural differences rather than diminishing them? How
do we create inclusive communication systems that serve diverse global communities while
preserving local cultural tones? These questions require insights from multiple disciplines -
from sociology to technology, from linguistics to economics.
The International Conference on Global Dialogues in Communication Design (ICGDCD
2025) addresses these crucial questions by bringing together diverse voices from around the
world. This conference creates a unique space where experts from various fields converge -
where business analytics meet cultural sensitivity, where technological innovation enhances
human creativity, and where academic research informs industry practice. We welcome
participants from all related disciplines: journalism, visual communication, economics,
psychology, computer science, cultural studies, linguistics and marketing.
ICGDCD 2025 has garnered technical support from Springer Nature's Proceedings.
Papers accepted for ICGDCD 2025, after the double-blind peer review process, will be
published in the Scopus-indexed conference proceedings with additional publication charges.
Based on the quality of the research papers and authors' preference, selected papers may be recommended for publication in relevant ISSN peer-reviewed journals, Scopus indexed
journals or as part of ISBN proceedings, subject to conditions and potential additional
charges if any (details will be communicated after the review). Authors are advised to
independently verify indexing details with the respective journals or publishers before final
submission.
