Overview

Gulf University – Kingdom of Bahrain is organizing the 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development and Innovation (ICSDI 2025). This conference will take place on 15th – 16th November 2025 at Gulf UniversityManama, Kingdom of Bahrain. 

ICSDI 2025 provides a leading forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of sustainability, law, governance, environmental science, and technological innovation. The conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, industry professionals, and academicians to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and practical solutions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The theme of ICSDI 2025 is: “Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future”

This theme emphasizes the role of cross-sectoral collaboration, technology, and policy in addressing sustainability challenges. The conference will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, technical paper presentations, workshops, and networking sessions.

Scope

The 1st International Conference on Sustainable Development and Innovation (ICSDI 2025) will be structured around the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each goal will be addressed through specific sub-themes, ensuring a comprehensive exploration of sustainable development challenges and innovative solutions. Below is a detailed breakdown of the themes and sub-themes:

Publication Opportunity

Papers accepted for the ICSDI'2025 after the double-blind peer-review process will be published in the ICSDI'2025 conference proceedings (Emeraled & Springer), which is indexed by SCOPUS, Google Scholar, and Springerlink.
Additionally, selected papers that have been presented at the conference will also be considered for further development of a possible publication in the highly esteemed partner journals listed below. Note that journal editors are provided with the conference proceedings and will make selections if they feel the work is appropriate and of sufficient quality for the journal. If invited to publish in a journal authors will be expected to develop the work by 40-50%, including a change of title and abstract. Individual journal procedures will need to be followed and there is no guarantee of publication. Of course, this will include one or more of the following journals:
