The University of Technology Bahr​ain invites academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, postgraduate students and industry professionals to submit original research to SIMDTE 2027. Contributions should advance knowledge, inform practice or offer innovative responses to contemporary technological, organisational and sustainability challenges.

Submission scope

Research with purpose and impact

SIMDTE 2027 welcomes theoretical, empirical, conceptual and practice-based contributions examining intelligent, agile and sustainable transformation.

Submissions should demonstrate clear relevance to the conference theme or one of its six research tracks. Multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, comparative and industry-engaged research is particularly encouraged.

Paper requirements

Preparing your submission

The paper must be original and relevant to the conference theme or one of its research tracks.
The submission must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another conference or publication.
Papers must be written in clear academic English.
Authors must follow the official paper template and submission instructions provided through the conference management system.
All sources, data, tables, figures and third-party materials must be appropriately acknowledged.
Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical and institutional requirements.
At least one author of an accepted paper must register and present the work at the conference.

Quality, relevance and contribution

Submissions will be evaluated by qualified reviewers according to their relevance, originality, methodological quality, clarity, theoretical or practical contribution and alignment with the conference scope.

Extending research beyond the conference

Qualified and scope-aligned papers may be considered for relevant publication opportunities, including the applicable Wiley collection, subject to the independent scope, peer-review standards, editorial assessment and final decision of the respective journal or publisher.
