The International Conference on Sustainable Business and Technology (ICSBT’2027) is committed to advancing high-quality research at the intersection of sustainability, business innovation, and digital technology.
The conference builds on its first edition, held in Cairo, Egypt, in 2025 (ICSBT’Cairo2025). Its proceedings, entitled Sustainable Innovations and Digital Solutions for a Greener Future, are forthcoming in Springer’s Contributions to Environmental Sciences & Innovative Business Technology series, with publication currently scheduled for 16 October 2026. All submissions to ICSBT’2027 undergo rigorous double-blind peer review and comprehensive research-integrity screening, guided by the following principles:
Double-blind peer review: Author and reviewer identities remain anonymous throughout the review process. Papers are assessed for originality, methodological rigor, clarity, scholarly contribution, and relevance to the conference’s sustainability, business, and technology themes.
Independent expert evaluation: Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Authors must address required revisions before a final acceptance decision.
Conflict-of-interest screening: Reviewers are carefully selected to avoid actual or potential conflicts of interest and support fair, impartial evaluation.
Publication requirements: Manuscripts must satisfy the applicable formatting, ethical, and publication requirements of the intended publisher. Papers considered for submission to Springer must comply with Springer’s requirements.
Similarity screening: All submissions are checked using professional plagiarism-detection software. The overall similarity index must be below 20%, excluding references and properly quoted material. Similarity reports are also assessed in context, as meeting the numerical threshold alone does not establish originality.
Responsible use of artificial intelligence: AI tools must not replace authors’ original scholarly contributions or be used to fabricate data, analyses, images, references, or conclusions. Authors remain accountable for all submitted content and must disclose AI use where required by the applicable publication policy. Excessive reliance on AI-generated content or evidence of unethical AI use may result in rejection without external review.
Research-integrity checks: Manuscripts undergo additional screening for plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, manipulated images, paper-mill activity, citation manipulation, and other forms of academic misconduct.
Only papers that successfully complete peer review, address all required revisions, and pass the applicable research-integrity checks will be considered for inclusion in the ICSBT’2027 conference proceedings. Final publication remains subject to the publisher’s assessment and approval.
